The Influence and Role of Current U.S. Foreign Policy in Modern Italy Since the beginning of the European due north, Europe has attempted to move forth as one unit in order to compete with the get together States and to be a strong force around the globe. Italy was one of the founding members of the European Union, which began in 1950, and any policies that are made by the United States th at actuates the European Union affects Italy as well. Many of the policies that are made by the United States save far reaching effects in many countries involving many antithetic areas.
